Today is the official National Day of Prayer. The first Thursday in May is set aside for all Americans to pray for our nation. The National Day of Prayer is a vital part of our heritage. Since the first call to prayer in 1775, when the Continental Congress asked the colonies to pray for wisdom in forming a nation, the call to prayer has continued through our history.
It is significant because The National Day of Prayer stands as a call to us to humbly come before God, seeking His guidance for our leaders and His grace upon us as a people. What does that have to do with managing your money wisely, you ask? Humbly seeking God’s wisdom for your finances is equally as necessary today as it was for our founding fathers over 200 years ago.
So today, say a prayer, and join millions of Americans, as we honor God’s sovereignty. Pray for our nation’s welfare, protection, and economic prosperity. God Bless America; and your finances.
